Born in the rural heartland of the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Lohose Talopondja Joseph understands intimately the energy challenges that have gripped marginalized communities. Witnessing the economic and social struggles stemming from extreme energy scarcity, he recognized the urgent need for change.
Joseph’s personal journey, growing up without access to energy, instilled a burning desire within him to drive meaningful change in his country’s rural energy landscape. Fueled by this conviction, he took the mantle of a social impact leader. In 2013, he founded Tech Power Services, a pioneering renewable energy utility company committed to providing affordable and dependable energy solutions to the energy-deprived regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
As the CEO and Founder of Tech Power Services, Joseph is at the forefront of developing and implementing strategies that position the company as a trailblazer in the African renewable energy industry. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University (Kampala 2014) and a post-graduate diploma in Business Administration from The Finish Institute for Enterprise Management (Helsinki 2018), Joseph’s expertise encompasses technology, business acumen, and a deep-rooted understanding of the energy needs of his nation.

Tech Power Services is a renewable energy utility company based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). We provide clean energy solutions to underserved communities outside the national grid's coverage. Our approach involves deploying smart microgrids powered by renewable sources like solar energy and hydropower, aiming to address energy access challenges in rural areas.
